First Annual Decorah Ice Bowl 

Thanks to all that came out for the Ice Bowl and donated food.  We had eight participants in two different divisions, men's advanced (3 players) and men's intermediate (5 players).  We had to keep a close eye on the discs.  I believe only one was lost.  Three formerly lost discs were found, however!

What:  Disc golf tournament to have fun and raise food/money for First Lutheran Food Pantry in Decorah.

When:  Sunday, January 24th from 1:00 PM.

Where:  First hole of Luther College's Disc Golf  Course.

Who:  Disc Golfers of all ages and skill levels.  There will be different divisions with prizes for winners in each division.

Why:  A national effort of disc golf players to raise funds and food for food pantries across the county.

The registration table will be at the first hole of Luther's disc golf course.  This is between Dieseth Hall and Lindeman Pond near the Regent Center parking lot.  A mandatory players meeting will take place at 12:50 PM near the check-in table.


How to Participate

Register for the Decorah Ice Bowl

Registration for the Decorah Ice Bowl Tournament Fundraiser will only be accepted in advance via this online registration form.  The cost to play in the tournament is $5.

Raise Money and Food.

The whole purpose of this event is to raise food and money for First Lutheran's Food Pantry.  Be sure to bring at least 3 food items and raise money if possible.  Prizes will be given to the people who raise the most!

Ice Bowl Overall Rank


12:30 to 1:00 - Check-in and Players Meeting.

All participants must stop by the check-in table to get your starting hole and group assignment for the tournament.  There is a mandatory players meeting starting at 12:50 PM near the check-in table.

1:00 to 3:30 - Single Play

Each group will play a 9-hole first round.  After your round, return your scorecard to the check-in table.  Scores will be tallied and the second round group assignments will be assigned based off of first round scores.  Each group will play an second 9-hole round.  After your round, return your scorecard to the check-in table.  Overall scores will be tallied, places will be determined and prizes will be given out.
