Disc Golf Dan was founded in 2007 with the goal of making this fun, healthy, competitive sport more available and exciting for the entire community of Decorah and Northeastern Iowa. With Luther College putting up a nine-hole course in fall of 2006, and the city of Waukon doing so in 2009, there has been a wonderful addition to the list of recreational activities in the area. It is my goal to initiate, organize, and provide disc golf activities and merchandise.
Dan Bellrichard, President/CEO, started playing disc golf in 1991, when he was only 12 years old. In his hometown of Austin,MN, his father, Larry, was part of group of players seeking funds to purchase permit teepads and baskets, replacing the grass pads and wooden post goals. Larry sold a variety of discs out of his garage to raise money for purchasing the needed cement, signs, and baskets. During the summer months, when Larry would be at work, Dan and his two brothers would sell discs to those on their way to the course.
Paul Bellrichard, Business Advisor, also started playing disc golf in 1991, when he was only 14 years old. Although his skill and fondness for the game dosen't match his younger brother's, he recognizes the benefits of the sport and enjoys working to promote it. Paul's unmatched knack for solving complex problems, in time, will deliver many features and products to DiscDan.com visitors unfound at any other disc golf site. Thanks for your help, Paul!

Dan recently moved back to Decorah after living in Madison, Albuquerque, and Mali, West Africa since graduating from Luther. After helping develop businesses over the past four years, he decided to try one of his own. Welcome to DiscDan.com!
